Two Books I Love

I checked out everything my local library had to offer on the subject of keeping chickens and these were two of my favorite books. There were several books my library did not have that I still want to read but at least I now have some general information to actually get started!

Making Chickens Part of your Backyard Garden

The desire to have fresh eggs every morning has led to lots of fun reading for me on the subject of keeping chickens. I think it will be a unique project for my whole family. I had no idea how much a few chickens can enhance compost. I plan to share some of the things I’ve learned and welcome any additional information you may have. Any information that is specific to south Louisiana would be great! In my next post I will share some of the books that I read.
